As an organization Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in their campus and community. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the campus and community in ways that are important to them by hosting and participating in a number of different events.

As sisters, we love to spend time together, strengthen our bonds, and create memories we will cherish forever.

Throughout each semester it is super important to plan a wide array of Sisterhood Events! The possibilities are endless for what kind of activities these consist of! From friendship bracelet making to ice skating, to yoga and tie-dyeing; we try to do a little bit of everything!

Sunset Picnic at The Battery: For one of our recent sisterhood events we went to the battery for a sunset picnic! It was so fun to spend time with each other and enjoy an amazing sunset.

Moe's Night: We recently had a dinner catered by Moe's at the Sigma Kappa house. It was so fun to spend time with each other at the house!

Kickboxing class at Marion Square: During the spring semester we had a kickboxing class at Marion Square. It was so fun to get a good workout in!

Each semester we enjoying planning and attending our date parties and mixers that are coordinated with other Greek Life organizations. These are typically themed for certain holidays (i.e. a Halloween Mixer), We also plan annual Semi-Formal and Formal dances!

Semi-Formal (Fall) 2021

Our semi-formal dance was at Founders all at Charles Towne Landing in November and was catered by Chipotle!

Formal (Spring) 20221

This spring we attended formal at Bay Street Biergarten. Our social chair, Zoey Zoschg did an amazing job planning this event and we all had a blast!!

Philanthropic Events

Throughout this semester we have had many events which support our philanthropies! Our Vice President of Philanthropic Services, Lexi Willbrand has done an amazing job to help us support our philanthropies in every way possible!

SK x DTD Trivia Night

We teamed up with Delta Tau Delta and had a trivia night to support the Sigma Kappa Foundation!

Movie night at the Cistern

During the spring semester, we had a movie night at the cistern and watched The Notebook. This event was in support of the Alzheimer's Association.

Outside of Sigma Kappa

Our sisters are involved in numerous activities on the College of Charleston campus such as Charleston Forty Tour Guides Association, Student Alumni Associates, MicroFinance Club, Club for Hospitality and Tourism, Equestrian, Theater, Dance, and so much more! Not only do our sisters get involved as members, many of our sisters take on leadership roles and executive board positions of these clubs.
